Press Release - Private Senior’s Residence Certification
Château Pierrefonds - First to be Certified in Quebec
On October 18th 2007, Château Pierrefonds was given the very first Certification
of Compliance in Quebec, personally presented by Philippe Couillard, Minister
of Health and Social Services,
and Marguerite Blais, Minister responsible for the senior citizens, in Trois-Rivières.

This new law, voted unanimously
at the National Assembly, is in effect since February
2007, and will oblige all private seniors’ residences
to comply to 26
sociosanitary criteria* in order
to obtain their Certification, and they must do
so by February 2009.
This Certification proves the high standard of quality in the health care and
all the services provided by seniors’ residences in Quebec.
